The most common cause of stomachache is food poisoning. This condition can be severe that is why it requires medical attention immediately it occurs. Food poisoning usually occurs when an individual consume foods that are contaminated with parasites, bacteria or viruses. The symptoms of food poisoning are in most cases not severe but it all depends on the levels of poison in that food consumed and the kind of treatment one takes immediately the irritation occurs.

The symptoms of food poisoning that are common include nausea, diarrhea and vomiting. Other symptoms include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, some vomiting, loss of appetite, mild fever, nausea, weakness and headaches. Although there are those symptoms that can be life threatening such as diarrhea that persist for more than two to three days, high fever behold the recommended, difficulty seeing or even speaking and finally severe dehydration.

The other natural remedy is warm lemon water that is also widely used by people who know the medicinal value of lemon. Lemon water will basically come in handy in relieving indigestion issues and calming a stomachache. Lemon has significant amount of acidity that stimulates production of acid known as hydrochloric acid that basically is vital in breakdown food in digestive system.

For people who are lactose intolerant may also find themselves experiencing this kind of pains. People with ulcers or even pelvic inflammatory disease may regularly complain of abdominal pains. Other causes are hernia, kidney stones, gallstones, appendicitis, endometriosis and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Fever is common for anyone with stomachache.

When a person cannot keep or maintain food down for at least two days they need to consult a doctor. Dehydration is also a sign that the condition is getting serious. For those people with tender bellies to touch should as well see a doctor. Some simple remedies for bellyaches that can be made in the kitchen include bitter and soda, ginger and chamomile tea.

It is common knowledge that many bitter brands usually contain some blend of herbs like cinnamon, some fennel, ginger and mint. All these ingredients are the reason behind the healing of nausea and other irritations in some people. The second remedy is Ginger and it has been proven to work very well. Since time in memorial, people have used ginger as remedy or cure for less serious irritations and nausea. Studies done on ginger have shown that this ginger can effectively treat some types of stomach upset.
