Many people live with food hypersensitivity also referred to as Food Allergies. It is said that 4 to 6 percent of children have this problem, and about 4 percent of adults as well. To give an example, during pollen season, the bodys immune system might be stimulated to overreact to environmental factors. The results of this enormous response could be anything from wheezing and sneezing, also the swelling and reddening of skin and tissue.

Different theories have emerged as to the origins of an allergy. Studies have shown that the early exposure of the immune system, during childhood, to parasites and other microbes helps the system to develop the necessary immune regulatory mechanisms to keep it focused and controlled. When an environment is clean and lacks parasitic involvement and exposure, the childs immune system does not develop properly and the child begins to develop what is called an inflammatory immune response to environmental proteins.

Individuals who are from developed countries seem to have more allergies. They said that this may be because of the cleaner conditions of their countries. However, individuals who are from developing countries with allergies are fewer. This is because of the conditions that may not be as clean as those from developed countries. To better explain an allergy, it happens when your immune system tries to protect itself from something that isn't a threat.

Another huge influence of hypersensitivity in food is said to be in the genes. If both parents of the child both have allergies to food then the chances are higher that the child will have one too. The body releases antibodies called Immunoglobulin E (IgE), they are the ones responsible for fighting off the suspected threat. This is how yur body protects itself from actual threats.

Every person has their own IgE make-up, it is said that those with Allergies have a different one to those who do. Children also inherit the way their IgE responds to substances in their body from their parents. The mistake made by the immune system in thinking something is a threat when it isn't, is inherited. This response to food can be managed.

To ease the effect of allergens in your body, antihistamines are a great help. Whenever someone experiences an allergic reaction, these can be administered. Another way to manage this problem is to stay away from the foods that mess with their system completely. Some people recommend using hookworms, however, you can never be sure of how the system will react.
